Trivia Night – A huge success!

A BIG THANK YOU to all Holgate parents, staff and teachers who have helped make this year’s Trivia Night a big success. The combined profit of the raffle and the whole night is at least $6,250 which will go towards the $14,000 we need for the storage and audio visual room in the school hall. There are so many parents who helped make the night a success and contributed to setting up and cleaning up the hall but I would like to make a special mention of the parents who went over and above for the night, Steve and Phelicity Templar who organised all the trivia, video footage, music and provided our amazing host…the King himself – Elvis; Skye Mescall who designed all of our flyers, leaflets, posters, tickets, raffle tickets and who has set up our new events and fundraising web site www.holgateschool.com.au – check it out; Jane and Peter Clarke who donated all of the printing to us, which looked amazing; and Lisa Monro, my partner in organising the event, for her wonderful organisational skills in everything, selling an enormous amount of raffle tickets and putting together a whole table of people from her workplace for the night. If you see these parents at the school give them a pat on the back….they deserve it! Thank you again to everybody.
